The Voice

I stood bathed in a soft, ethereal glow, a man who has traveled the world listening to the voices of many nations. I have heard prayers in crowded temples and whispers in quiet libraries, always searching for the one thread that ties humanity together. I know the sounds of “peace” in a thousand different tongues, but I have been looking for something deeper than just the word. A bright, circular light formed behind me, casting a halo of serenity around the moment. Holding the bird, I felt a profound warmth radiate through my hands and into my heart. It was a feeling of total safety, a quiet joy that needed no translation. In that silence, the answer I had been searching for finally became clear. It wasn’t about how the word was spelled or spoken. It was this feeling—this shared moment of trust and kindness. I smiled, lifting my eyes to the light, and understood the simple truth: whether spoken in the East or the West, by the young or the old, the feeling is universal. “Peace means in every language the same.”
